Blinded by the Light 2019

The story of Javed, a British teenager of Pakistani descent who lives in the city of Luton, England, in 1987. In the midst of the racial and economic turmoil of the time, he writes poems as a means of escaping the intolerance of his city and the traditionalist inflexibility of his father. But when one of his classmates introduces him to the “Boss” music, Javed discovers parallels with his life as a working class in Springsteen’s powerful lyrics. While Javed discovers a cathartic way out of his repressed dreams, he also begins to find the courage to express himself with his unique voice.
